Biography:

Jimmie Ray was elected to the office of Ellis County Constable, Precinct 3 in 2001.   He served Precinct 3 with a provisional Peace Officers License from November 1999 through November 2000.   Prior to becomming a Peace Officer, he graduated from Stanton High School, Received a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration, and his Master's Degree in Education Administration and Management Certification.   He graduated from The Cedar Valley Polic Academy in Lancaster, Texas, in May 2000. Constable Ray is currently serving his second term as Constable of Precinct 3.   He is a licensed TCLEOSE Instructor, and one of the first Constables to complete the one hundred hour Constable's Leadership Institute, sponsored by Southwest Texas State University.   Constable Ray currently holds a "Texas Masters Peace Officer Certification" and is currently serving as President of the East Texas Justice of the Peace and Constables Association. Constable Ray is married and has three children.   He has served his community as a teacher, coach, and administrator for forty years.   He has a life membership in the Texas Teachers Association and the Texas High School Coaches Association.   Constable Ray is also a charter member of the Waxahachie Kiwanis Club where he served as a Past President.   Constable Ray is also a small business owner.
